James J. Taugher

JAMES J. TAUGHER | Bruskiewitz Funeral Home

Was reunited with his wife Joan of 54 years, his son Ricky, and his best friend Ted Karczewski, peacefully and in his sleep on November 30, 2012 at the tender age of 82. He was preceded in death by his wonderful parents Robert and Ruth, his brother Robert (Kay), and brother-in-law Leonard Schindler. He will be forever loved and missed by his children: James, Shari (Mimo) Rios, Robert (Michelle), and William (Theresa). He was also survived by his adoring sisters Ruthanne “Annie” Schindler, Susan (Gary) Robrahn and many nieces and nephews. He was the world’s greatest “PAPA” to Josh (Casey), Jacob, Jordan, RJ, Willy, Mya, Marissa, Marina, Gavin, Gaige, and Gaiden, who filled his life with lots of love and laughter. Further survived by his lifelong friends Marilyn Karczewski and Joan (Bob) Sniadach. James was a master chef and in the restaurant business for over 50 years. He loved golf, the Packers, his family and traveling to Florida to be with his friends Ted and Marilyn. Special thanks to his Hospice Nurse Sherri Lynn Glick, whose love and compassion did not go unnoticed and is appreciated more than she will ever know! A private service will be held with immediate family. As Papa would say “If I don’t see you in the future I will see you in the pasture”

Remembrances:

  • Gail Lyon says:

My most sincere sympathy for Jim’s family. Jim & Joan were best friends of my mom and Ted for many years. I enjoyed sharing books with Joan and LOVED talking to Jim, he had a wonderful sense of humor, and family, and I particularly liked his “side cracks”. Jim and Joan and Ted are now reunited.
