Jane V. Lynch

Called Home to her Lord Jesus Christ on Jan. 10, 2014, at the age of 96, surrounded by her beloved family.  A woman of strong and simple faith, she lived the Gospel by giving her life for her husband and four children and by welcoming everyone into her home and around her table.  Her final spoken words were “Hail, Mary, full of grace…”

Beloved wife of the late Harold “Hap” Lynch.  Devoted mother of James (Marsyl), the late Michael, Mary Ellen (William) Rakocy and Patrick (Patricia).  Grandmother of Christopher (Violet), Michael and Joseph Lynch; Gina (Corey) Frank, Laura Galati and Maria (Cedric) Smith.  Great-grandmother of 18.  Sister of Rosemary (Bernard) Bartels.  Aunt, cousin, sister-in-law and friend to countless others.

Visitation will be held Wednesday at 3:30 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, S. 58th St. & W. Forest Home Ave., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 5:30 PM.  Private interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

The family is indebted to the Aurora Center for Senior Health and Longevity for 25 yrs. of stellar, compassionate care and to Aurora VNA Hospice for accompanying her and easing her suffering in her last 4 days.  If desired, memorials to either of these organizations or the Father Solanus Guild are appreciated.

  • Tom Regan says:

What a wonderful woman my Aunt Jane was. I am so grateful that my family paid her a visit on one of our trips back to Milwaukee (We live in North Dakota now) not so very long ago. I have so many fond and warm memories of Hap and Jane and my cousins, and the house on the north side, and spending time there as part of a big, warm, Irish-Catholic family. I’ve been thinking about Jane and the family all week, and I’m going to go back and read that wonderful booklet she wrote about our family. I miss her very much. She was such a loving and giving woman. I can see her now and hear her voice. She is in heaven with Family! I know it and feel it. Peace and Serenity to you all. Tom Regan (Jr.) Family

  • Suzette Nelson says:
