John J. Scepanski
John was called home to the Lord and reunited in heaven with his beloved wife Patricia. John was born October 9, 1923 to John and Martha Szczepanski. After high school at South Division, John joined the Navy to serve his country during WWII. He was deployed in the Pacific where he was the Quartermaster Signal Man on LCI-451.
John returned to Bay View after serving his country and met and married Patricia (nee Linski). He built a beautiful home and had 3 children, Mark (Joanne), Monica (Brian) and Michael.
He worked for the telephone company for a short time before joining the Milwaukee Police Force. He was a patrolman with the Milwaukee Police Department for 38 years before retiring in 1989.
John loved country music and traveled to Nashville many times with his family. He also loved Nascar Racing. His favorite drivers were Dale Ernhardt Sr. and Tony Stewart. He was a member of the Commemorative Air Force and helped to restore an old WWII plane.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Patricia, his parents John and Martha, brother Herbert and sisters, Joanne, Harriett and Anna. John is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many friends and his special friend Linda.
Visitation at the Funeral Home Friday, March 31, 2017 from 4-8 PM. Funeral at the Funeral Home Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11 AM. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
