August 20, 1927 – January 17, 2018

Lorraine J. Idzikowski, 90, of Milwaukee, WI passed peacefully into eternal life on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Franciscan Villa attended to by family. Lorraine was the last remaining daughter of her loving father, Theodore Idzikowski (1884-1943) and loving mother, Helen (Turczynski) Idzikowski (1884-1942). She has joined her predeceased beloved siblings: Clementine (Harry) Martins (1907-1979), Emily (Elmer) Halfmann (1909-1968), Thaddeus (Angeline) Idzikowski (1911-1982), Rev. Roger Idzikowski (1913-1969), Silvia (Joseph) Schmuck (1916-1990) and Leona (Kenneth) Benson (1919-2002). She is survived by her Godchildren, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews – four generations.

Lorraine lived a long life, many years without her mother and father, she was grateful to all who cared for her in their place. In the end, she was very appreciative to all those who took time for her throughout her lifetime. She realized that she may not have shown her gratitude, but she asked that it be expressed today. Thank you to all her family and friends who supported, cared, shared, prayed, and loved Lorraine throughout her full life. She is now resting in the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus, Christ. We are sure that she has joined the Choir of Angels.

Please help us celebrate her life here and her new eternal life in heaven with Our Father God.

Although it has been many years since I last saw her, I will always remember Lorry, as we all knew her as children, as our mother’s comedian friend. She was always so funny. Thanks for the laughs Lorry. Spoczywaj w Pokoju.

  • Renee Semon (Rezza) says:

So sorry to hear of Laurie’s passing. I will always remember her loving and boisterous personality. She was always quite the cut-up and ready to make you laugh. I’m sorry I cannot attend services, but I will remember her fondly and keep all in my prayers.

  • Connie Harter (Rezza) says:

I am sorry to hear of Laurie’s passing. Laurie was a fun lady to be around. She will be missed. i have many memories of Laurie from my childhood to adulthood. I remember going with Laurie to set up her classroom for the start of school and Laurie coming to St. Louis with my mother, Alice Rezza after I moved there with my own family. Laurie was funny, loud, goofy and a friend
Laurie will be missed. May God rest you and keep you in His care. My prayers are with you and your family

  • Jane (Ksobiech) Munoz says:

I wanted to thank all those who sent flowers, condolences, prayers, and sympathy to the family. Also, to thank all those who help in the preparation and participation of this day (Mary, Paula,Jennifer, Christopher, Dave G, Tim, Roger, and Dave K), for those who helped me prepare a respectful and meaningful eulogy – could not have done it without help from Jonathan or Linda – so thank you.

Special thanks to Joe & Tommy for making it possible for Alice to attend. I just love Alice Rezza, Laurie’s lifetime friend for over 70years – in good, bad and ugly….that’s true love. We all should be so blessed with such a friend. Well done ladies – good and faithful servants.

May Lorraine Rest in Peace – may her days be filled with praise and singing to our Lord, Jesus, Christ…..what a life!!!
