(Nee Lietz) Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Robert. Dearest mother of Katherine (Gregory) Jastromski, Kevin (Laura) and Kara (Chris) Bernau. Loving grandmother of Harley, K. J., Kody, Kristopher, Madelynn, Meredith, Miranda and the late Sam. Sister of Frank (Joan) Lietz. Aunt of Jeanne (Jeff) and Karen (Dan). Great-aunt of Nicholas and Emily. Further survived by other relatives and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Luther Manor, 4545 N. 92nd St., in the Faith & Ed Center, Friday, Feb. 8 at 6 PM, with visitation from 4 PM until the time of service. Enter North Driveway. “Tailgate Reception” to follow. Interment Mosinee, WI. Marie’s wishes were to wear Brewers attire if you wish. Marie was a diehard Brewers season ticket holder since 1996. Marie graduated from St. Mary’s of Wausau School of Nursing in 1947, earned her Nursing Degree at Marquette in 1957 and earned her Master of Science in Public Health Administration from Cardinal Stritch in 1987. She worked in Milwaukee and Racine Public Health for 29 years as a Public Health Nurse and 13 years as the City of Racine Department of Public Health Nursing Director. Throughout her career, she was involved with Public Health Organizations and Committees in Southeastern Wisconsin. Nursing was Mom’s passion in life. Our family wishes to thank the Luther Manor family for their loving care of Marie. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorials to Luther Manor HCC Activities Department are appreciated for a Memorial Brewers Outing for the residents in Marie’s honor.

    Marie Ann was a cousin and although I did not see her recently ( I live in Atlanta, Ga) I remember as a young girl stopping
    at her parents house in Mosinee and enjoying her older girl activities, books, cheerleading, etc. For me it is an end to an era of living relatives. Rest in peace.

    What I remember most about Marie Ann is her broad contagious smile. What I am most grateful for is her introducing my parents, Edwin and Rose Lietz, to each other. Our sympathies to the Banse family.
