Anastacio Zamora

Anastacio "Tacho" Zamora Sr.

Anastacio Zamora, 74, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2020. Anastacio was born on April 15, 1946 in Rio Hondo, TX to Alberto Sr. and Raymunda Zamora. All his years of schooling were in Harlingen, TX. He was an officer in Cameron County, TX then worked as a truck driver and a truck driver instructor for many years.

Anastacio is survived by his children Yvette Zamora (Nathan), Yvonne Aracelie Amora Schrecker (Randy), Roberto Zamora (Angela), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, mother Raymunda Zamora, siblings Alberto Zamora Jr. (Marta), Irene Torres (Eliseo), Victor Zamora Sr. (Francine), Minerva Maldonado (Anastacio), Corina Gotay (William), Avel Zamora, Nancy Douby (Mohamed), and preceded in death by Anastacio Zamora Jr., Alberto Zamora Sr., MaryLou Zamora, Rene Zamora, and Ramiro Zamora (Nelly).

His interests included family and cooking. His charm and smile set laughter at any given moment.

A special thanks to Nancy Douby, Corina Gotay, Irene Torres, Jorge Gotay, and William Gotay for their assistance in caring for Anastacio.

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern, and kindness shown to us during this time of grief. May God Bless you and keep you always.

Visitation at the Bruskiewitz Funeral Home on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 11 AM-12 PM, with Funeral Services from at 12-1:30 PM. Burial to follow at Forest Home Cemetery.
