John P. Adamski

John P. Adamski, age 88 years, of East Moline, IL, passed away last year on Monday,
November 23, 2020, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA.
John was born on November 18, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Frank and
Philomena (nee Wanta) Adamski. He married Patricia Rosinski on February 11,
1956, in Milwaukee. John served in the United States Marine Corps during the
Korean War. He later worked as a landscape architect for the U.S. Forest Service
and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the Rock Island Arsenal Clock Tower until he
retired in 1991. He used his gifts and talents in woodworking, watch repair and landscape
design to give back to the community. John enjoyed a second career working as a courtesy
driver at Green Chevrolet in East Moline until 2016.
John is survived by his children Joan (Glenn) Baker and Jennifer Adamski,
granddaughters Ashley (Dan) Griswold and Brooke (Ben) Harrison, and greatgrandsons
Drake, Ryland and Daxson Griswold, and Carter and Beckham Harrison.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
A Memorial will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Blessed
Sacrament Catholic Church, 3100 S. 41st St., Milwaukee, with a visitation at 10 AM, and a
Memorial Mass at 11 AM. The Memorial Mass will be livestreamed from Blessed Sacrament
Church starting at 10:50 AM via the link: https://www.blessedsacramentmke.org/livestream
Military honors and interment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
