Shirley A. Cauffman (nee Rewolinski) beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully on June 28th, 2022 after a beautiful life at the age of 95.
Shirley was loved by family, friends and all who were blessed to know her. She was unceasingly kind, generous and selfless with an unforgettable sunny disposition. She always saw the best in everyone. Shirley loved nothing more than spending time with her loved ones. Her favorite pastime was watching the Milwaukee Brewers, including many outings to Miller Park, going to the movies and dinner with family and friends. We may have lost a loved one but Heaven gained another Angel.
Shirley loved to travel with friends. Her love of palm trees repeatedly drew her to her favorite destinations of Hawaii, Florida and Las Vegas. She especially enjoyed a cruise, time on the beach, and the theater.
She is survived by her daughters Karen Sternig and Diane (Robert) Checker; her son Robert (Kathy) Dublinski; her grandchildren Brian (David) and Kevin Sternig, Nick Checker, Lauren (Kahler) Cox and Jessica (Jim) McLaughlin (nee Dublinski). She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Cauffman, sister Virginia (Al) Straus and grandson Jeffrey Sternig. She is also survived by Jeffrey’s children Hailee and Samantha.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 9306 W. Beloit Rd., Milwaukee, on Wednesday July 6th, 2022 at 12 Noon. Visitation will begin at 11 AM. The family would like to thank the staff of Ascension Franklin Hospital and Creekside Manor for their loving care and kindness.
