You have the ability to express your own memorial and funeral service wishes, and often relieve the financial burden from those you love.

What To Bring To A Funeral Arrangement

When a death occurs, it can be an emotional experience. At Bruskiewitz Funeral Home, We are here to make it as easy as possible for those responsible for the funeral arrangements. To help organize what you need to bring to your appointment with the funeral director, we have put together the following list:

  1. The deceased’s full name and social security number
  2. The deceased’s birth date and city of birth
  3. Clothing for the deceased
  4. A recent photograph of the deceased
  5. Personal information such as:
  • Parents’ names of the deceased, maiden name of mother
  • Marital status
  • Education
  • Military service
  • Pre-arrangement paperwork, if applicable
  • Grave site information, if applicable
  1. Church and/or clergy involved; what is the date and time of service
  2. Information if obituary will be written- some information to consider: age, place of birth, cause of death, occupation, college degrees, military service, surviving relatives (immediate family), any outstanding accomplishments, time & place of all services
  3. Do you want to list a charity to receive memorials?
  4. Select pallbearers
  5. If applicable, determine music to be played at service.
