Karen S. Tadych

She was the loving wife of the late John A. Tadych, Sr.; the beloved mother of Debbie (Marco) Contreras, Kathy (Daniel) Doroteo and John Jr. (Rilea Dessart); and dear Nana of Karina, Amanda, Rebecca, Annie and Emily. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norbert and Marjorie Siwek. She is survived by many other family members and friends.

Karen attended Immaculate Conception grade school and remained lifelong friends with some of the “IC girls.” She attended Mercy High School and received an associate degree in accounting from MIT (now MATC), which she went on to use at NN Insurance Company. She then owned and managed Karen’s Beauty Studio, which she and her husband bought and operated out of their home for over 30 years. Her Catholic faith was extremely important to her, and she and her husband were longtime parishioners of Blessed Sacrament Parish. They also sacrificed to give their children a Catholic School education.

After her husband’s death, she followed her children to Oconomowoc, where she lived with her daughters and helped baby-sit and raise her grandchildren. She was an avid animal lover, especially cats, and wished she could save every stray animal there was. She was extremely loyal to those she loved and was always thinking of ways to help others out. She has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew her best, but her memory will live on with those whose lives she has touched.  

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 5-8 PM at the Bruskiewitz Funeral Home, with a Prayer Service at 7 PM.

Visitation will also be held at 10 AM on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church , 3100 S. 41st St., Milwaukee, WI 53215, (please go directly to the church), followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
