Jane C. Riekkoff Batt (née Dyszelski)

Jane C. Riekkoff Batt (née Dyszelski), a devoted mother, proud grandmother, cherished sister, and beloved friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, strength, and generosity.

Jane was preceded in death by her first husband, Roger Riekkoff, and her second husband, Harold Batt, her son-in-law Edmund Steinike, as well as many beloved brothers and sisters who now welcome her into eternal rest.

She was both mother and father to her four children after Roger’s death: Victoria Weiley, Kenneth (Rita) Riekkoff, Renee Steinike and Michael (Laurel) Riekkoff. Later, she married Harold Batt and together they shared the parenting of their son, Christopher Batt, forming a beautifully blended family.

Jane's role as “Grandma Toby” and “Grandma Jane” was one she embraced wholeheartedly. She was a constant, loving presence in the lives of her grandchildren: Kyle and Samantha Steinike; Allison (Casey Dietrich) and Emily Riekkoff; Grace (Ben Roubik) and Roger Riekkoff; and Tyler and Sawyer Batt and great-grandchild Melody. Her joy was found in their accomplishments, their laughter, and the many special moments they shared.

She is further survived by her brother Arthur Dyszelski, former daughter-in-law Cate Riekkoff, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends whose lives were touched by her warmth and generosity.

Jane enjoyed a fulfilling career at the Wisconsin Electric Company (WE Energies), where she was a valued and respected employee. Her dedication, strong work ethic, and belief in empowering her colleagues made a lasting impact on those she worked with.

Family was the heart of Jane’s world. She cherished every gathering, big or small. Holidays and family weddings were especially dear to her—she was the mom who could always be counted on to host, cook up a feast, and fill the house with laughter and love. Her food, her presence, her decorations (Christmas Village) and her spirit made every celebration unforgettable.

A devoted Elvis fan, dedicated Green Bay Packer’s fan, collector of Norman Rockwell dolls, and lover of travel, Jane found joy in both the road trips and family vacations. She treasured trips to California, Florida, Georgia, Branson, and Las Vegas, and was rarely seen without her beloved dog Toby by her side before he passed.

Jane's life was a beautiful symphony of love, laughter, and legacy. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
